One ticket is a ticket to the whole day: your chosen run distance or walk, drink stations on the longer courses, your choice of three dishes from a six-dish menu by Braised Tasmania, live music, and historic Wool Shed precinct access. Additional dishes, regional wine and spirits are available to purchase on the day.
Registrations are open. Get your tickets now - select your distance on the next screen.
Early-bird prices: the 5km run and 6km walk are $120, the 10km run $140, and the half marathon $180. Early-bird places are limited. Every ticket is a ticket to the whole day. Get tickets.
Entries aren't refundable if you change your mind or can no longer attend, including for illness, injury, work, travel or other personal reasons. But we don't want your place to go to waste: you can transfer your entry to another person up until 4 April 2027, subject to our transfer conditions. The new participant must complete the official transfer process before taking part.
Want to change distance? We'll accommodate it where places remain. Move to a longer distance and you'll pay the difference; move to a shorter one and we won't refund the difference.
If severe weather, an emergency or other exceptional circumstances force us to change, postpone or cancel the event, what happens depends on the situation and the law, and may include a modified event, a transfer to a rescheduled date, a credit or a refund. Full detail is in our Participant Terms & Conditions. Nothing here excludes any rights you have under Australian Consumer Law that can't lawfully be excluded.
Four distances: the half marathon (21.1km), the 10km run, the 5km run, or the 6km walk up The Single Tree. Full detail and elevation on The Route.
Absolutely. Après Trail is a country event, and we love seeing young people challenge themselves, build confidence and enjoy a day outdoors. Children of all ages are welcome in the 5km run and the 6km walk, with younger ones accompanied by an adult.
The longer runs carry minimum ages in line with Australian Athletics' recommended minimums, to keep everyone safe: the 10km run is 12 and over, and the half marathon 16 and over. All participants under 18 need parent or guardian consent at registration.
The runs are self-timed - bring a watch if you'd like your own time, but there are no timing chips or official results. The day is made to be savoured more than raced.
A mix of surfaces across private farmland normally closed to the public: grass through the pastoral paddocks, asphalt across the historic Dunrobin Bridge, and quiet gravel country roads. The 6km walk climbs to the summit of The Single Tree for 360° views.
The courses close at 12:00pm. Strict cutoff times apply to all runners, to ensure roads fully reopen by 12:00pm. There's no rush at the finish: take your time to freshen up and settle into the afternoon.
Your choice of three dishes from a six-dish menu by Braised Tasmania, built around the valley's own produce. The menu will be announced shortly. Additional dishes are available to purchase on the day.
Yes. Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options are fully catered with advance notice. Let us know your requirements during your Barefoot registration.
Regional wine and spirits are available to purchase through the afternoon. They're not included in the ticket.
The Historic Wool Shed Precinct is at 6373 Lyell Highway, Ouse, in the Derwent Valley just over an hour from Hobart.
Self-drive with free on-site parking, or a return bus from central Hobart (times and cost to follow). Everything else on Travel & Stay.
Make a weekend of it. The valley has cottages, farm stays and more within easy reach. See Travel & Stay for where to base yourself. And of course, there's no shortage of great places to stay in Hobart, just over an hour away.
Running or walking gear, Après clothes to change into, and warm layers for the afternoon. Après footwear should be able to cope with a working wool shed and surrounds - think slightly uneven floors and open ground.
April is one of the most stable times of year in Tasmania, and the days are typically dry with blue sky. That said, it is Tasmania, so come prepared for changeable weather. The day runs rain or shine, with warm spaces to change and coffee close at hand.
Yes. Change and refreshment space in the heritage outbuildings, hot towels at the finish, restrooms, and barista coffee at the Wool Shed and the summit of The Single Tree.
To be confirmed. It's a working heritage farm and a century-old Wool Shed, so there is some uneven ground and a few steps. We'll publish the access detail closer to the event. If you have specific mobility needs in the meantime, get in touch and we'll tell you what's possible.
